Chaparral aka Gobernadora refers to a group of closely related shrubs that grow wild in desert regions, including those of the southwestern United States, northern Mexico, and South America. The scientific names are Larrea divaricata and Larrea tridentata. Chaparral has resinous, evergreen leaves that can be described as pungently aromatic.

Warning: This herb is very bitter
Directions: Add at least 1 tbsp of tea in 16-20oz of water. Bring water (with herbs) to a boil over a medium fire, then reduce to low and simmer for another 5-15 minutes. Strain and pour into cups. Drink twice a day as needed. Add honey if desired
Usually Prepared With: Burdock root, Dandelion root, Pau d'Arco and Yellow Dock root.
